What are your tuition fees?

Are you accredited?
Legacy Christian Academy is accredited as a Qualified Independent School and receives partial funding from the government. LCA is a member of SAICS (Saskatchewan Association of Independent Church Schools), and employs certified and accredited teachers who hold a valid Professional 'A' Teacher's Certificate.
Legacy Christian Academy uses a variety of resources to provide an education from a Christian philosophical perspective, all of which satisfy the provincial curriculum outcomes for each grade level. High school students receive an official provincial transcript from the Ministry of Education for courses completed at the secondary level.

What is your anti-bullying policy?
Legacy Christian Academy does not tolerate negative actions on the part of one or more students that may cause emotional, psychological, and/or physical harm. Guided by Biblical values, bullying behaviour will be dealt with in a serious and timely manner. The staff at LCA believe that all students have the right to a safe, caring, and respectful school environment, free from any harm.

What grade levels do you offer at LCA?
LCA offers a Kindergarten through grade 12 program.
What is your student-to-teacher ratio?
As a Qualified Independent School, LCA easily meets the requirement by having a 15 to 1 student to teacher ratio. This includes certified Teachers and Educational Assistants.
What is the length of the school day, and how are the classes structured?
A typical school day at LCA begins at 8:45 and ends at 3:30, including a 40 minute lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. A regular week includes structured academic time and scheduled music, phys ed, art, and drama classes.
What team sports do you have available?
LCA has a long-winning and legendary tradition in our athletic program, where the Eagles have won 28 medals (gold, silver, bronze) over the course of the last 24 years in Saskatchewan in basketball, volleyball and track teams. LCA also has a table tennis club for students ages 11 and older.
What non-athletic activities do you offer?
Each student is encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities, and we offer a variety of options in order to appeal to different interests. Activities include but are not limited to Choir, Jazz Band, Art, Drama, and School Blog.

How often do you have Bible classes?
All elementary and secondary students incorporate several Bible classes (devotions) a week. In addition, Biblical truths are infused into each subject on an ongoing basis. Special chapel services are scheduled occasionally at the school administration's discretion. As well, we have regular Bible reading times and monthly scripture memorization.
Do your students wear uniforms?
The LCA dress code was developed to provide a positive atmosphere for student learning. The primary objectives are neatness and modesty. The LCA dress code is sufficiently flexible to encourage individual identity and a positive self-image within the borders of appropriate dress for work in a school environment.
Students (Grade 3 - 12) participating in P.E. will be required to wear shorts and t-shirts with the school logo (available for purchase through the Academy Office). A separate pair of socks and athletic/running shoes with non-marking soles are required for P.E. classes.

Can I take a tour of your school?
Tours can be scheduled by calling the LCA Administration Office at (306) 242-5086. Please call to schedule tours at least 2 days in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: Information contained in the FAQs is current for the 2017-2018 school year and is subject to change for subsequent school years. Adequate notice will be provided to families that have students enrolled in LCA for any changes that do occur. All applicable policy and procedure standards will be given to LCA families prior to the start of the school year through the Parent & Student Handbook.
